The journey to record our debut album has been nothing short of amazing. To have such overwhelming support from our church means the world to us. We have dedicated an immense amount of time with the writing, producing, recording, and releasing of this album. Our only hope is that it reaches the depths of the hearts of a tremendous amount of people, and leaves them in a place closer to God than they were before they listened. The songs that are featured within this album are songs that have truly come from our hearts. From songs of freedom and triumph, to songs of direction and deep praise, we hope these lyrics resonate in some way to every single person that takes a chance to listen.

The title track to this album, 'Heartbeat,' came from a place where we asked ourselves, "In a world that seemingly makes it more difficult to get closer to God, where is the closest place you can think of being, in terms of your relationship with Him?" Our answer was to be so in tune with Him, that we could feel His "heartbeat" within our own, and realize that it was His life that ultimately gave us ours. The verses take you through a journey of accepting that there will be times when "the storms of life make the oceans rise," and "the dark of night will blind our sight," but it is Him who calms those storms and shines His light for our victory. The chorus takes you to a place of sincerity and closeness to Jesus, where you "press in" and His "love like rain" comes pouring down. Finally, the bridge ties all together and triumphantly we ask for God to "let it rain" and "open wide the gates of Heaven" in our lives.
